Take your apples from the earth
And your fingerlings from the air
If you cried when you were born
Cause it ain’t fair
You got nothing, Nothing to wear
And there’s a drink that we’re all needing
I need to weep but we have tried
And though the clouds they keep on seeding
Still the county remains dry
The county remains dry
I see your coat, that it needs sewing
And these seeds will sow the corn sill prize
But in your absence nothing’s growing
And still the county remains dry
The county remains dry
Still we keep on dreaming
Of that fifty year flood
Of oceans of plasma
And rivers of blood
Take your apples from the earth
And your fingerlings from the air
If you cried when you were born
Cause it ain’t fair
You’ve got nothing, Nothing to wear

this is silly but anyway. I was bored so here you go: Some parts of “Orpheo Looks back” by Andrew Bird in pizzicato.
(yes I know how to play it with a bow too but it’s 11pm here and we have neighbors = hence the plucking. and yes I sometimes play viljami like a guitar - it’s fun)

Fuck this.
fuck this fuck this fuck this.
I just found a way to actually afford tickets to andrew birds show in gothenburg + train tickets to get there. And now I found out there’s an age limit.
just… Fuck this so very much
Why do you have to be of a certain age to be able to love the music you love the way you want? Shouldn’t the basic idea be to include everyone? Do you really just wanna value people’s opportunity to drink alcohol more than to include everyone? GAAARGH.

Andrew Bird - Break It Yourself - “Near Death Experience Experience”
You used to be like copper: pliable but strong.
You used to smile and nod, say “you’re right,” be polite,
When you know that everybody’s wrong.
Know that everybody’s wrong.
Know that everybody’s wrong.
So you dare the plane to crash,
Redeem the miles for cash when it starts to dive.
And we’ll dance like cancer survivors:
Like we’re grateful simply to be alive.

Lazy Projector — Andrew Bird
If memory serves us, then who owns the master
How do we know who’s projecting this reel
And is it like gruel or like quick drying plaster
Tell me how long til the paint starts to peelNow who’s the best boy and the casting director
And the editor splicing your face from the scene
It’s all in the hands of a lazy projector

“I didn’t know that your love was a commodity
What about appreciation?
That depends on your depth and density
What about inflation?
Charts and graphs don’t mean a thing to me
In your nation
With it’s worthless currency”-Andrew Bird, “Give It Away”
I’ve finally listened to “Break it yourself” (yeah late I know but I had reasons). Fucking fantastic.
